The Professional
Regulation Commission (PRC) Baguio Regional Office successfully conducted the recent
Nurses Licensure Examination (NLE) in the cities of Baguio, Dagupan, Cabanatuan
and Laoag on June 30 and July 1, 2012. There were four thousand nine hundred seventeen
(4,917) examinees in Baguio, two thousand three hundred
eighty-five (2,385) examinees in Dagupan, one thousand nine hundred seventy-six (1,976)
examinees in Cabanatuan, and one thousand four hundred
nine (1,409) in Laoag. A total of ten thousand
six hundred eighty-seven (10,687) took the NLE in 4 areas supervised by the
Baguio Regional Office.
The
conduct of NLE is supported by Dagupan City Government through Mayor Benjamin
S. Lim for Dagupan NLE; Provincial Government of Nueva Ecija through Governor
Aurelio M. Umali and Cabanatuan City Government through Mayor Julius Cesar V.
Vergara for Cabanatuan NLE; Laoag City Government through Mayor Michael V.
Fariñas for Laoag NLE, Philippine Nurses Association (PNA) Regional councils
and their local chapters in CAR, Regions I and III, Philippine National Police, National Bureau
of Investigation, Department of Education, and colleges/universities concerned
also extended assistance.

Regional Director Teofilo Gaius M. Sison Jr. commended the Provincial and City
Governments, PNA, Philippine National Police, National Bureau of Investigation,
DepEd, media outfits, various colleges and universities, PRC Central Office and
Area Delegations for the efficient and honest conduct of the examination.
