ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATIONS FOR THE SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS LICENSURE EXAMINATIONS

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces the acceptance of application to take the November 2023 Speech-Language Pathologists Licensure Examination:
DATE OF EXAMINATION - November 13 and 14, 2023
APPLICATION PERIOD - August 14 to October 16, 2023
Pursuant to the Professional Regulatory Board of Speech-Language Pathology (PRBSLP) Resolution No. 09 series of 2022, the following are the documentary requirements when filing applications:
A. First-Timers
a. Degree/Course Requirement: Bachelor in Speech Pathology or Speech-Language Pathology
b. Documentary Requirements:
1. Notarized Application Form;
2. Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Birth Certificate;
3. PSA Marriage Certificate/Contract (for married female applicants);
4. College Diploma and Transcript of Records (TOR) (original or authenticated, with scanned picture and remarks “For Board Examination Purposes”);
5. Certificate of Completion of the ten (10) months of internship signed by the Dean and Registrar with school seal;
6. National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance (valid at least 6 months as of the date of filing of the application); and
7. Other documents that may be required by the Professional Regulatory Board (PRB).
c. Documentary Requirements for Foreign Nationals:
1. Notarized Application Form (Application for Authority to Practice by a Foreigner which can be downloaded at https://www.prcbaguio.blogspot.com/downloads.html)
2. Copy of the national law or international treaty, agreement or covenant to prove reciprocity for the practice of Speech-Language Pathology between the Philippines and his/her country as provided under Section 34 of PRBSLP Resolution No. 04 (s. 2022);
3. Birth Certificate;
4. Marriage Certificate/Contract (for married female applicants);
5. Copy of Passport date page or any equivalent document to establish citizenship;
6. College Diploma and TOR with scanned picture;
7. Certificate of Good Moral Character to be issued by ANY of the following:
i. employer
ii. school/college/university
iii. any competent authority acceptable to the PRB; and
8. Other documents that may be required by the PRB.
For degrees taken abroad, the applicant has to submit a Certificate of Equivalency from the Commission on Higher Education.
All official documents that are issued or executed abroad must be authenticated by the Philippine Embassy/Consulate/Legation in the State or country where they are issued or executed. An Apostille Certification issued by the foreign competent authority responsible for the implementation of the Apostille Convention is sufficient. The document must also be accompanied by an official English translation, if applicable.
B. Repeaters (pursuant to PRC Resolution No. 1267 (s. 2020) – Revised Guidelines in the Filing of Processing of Applications for Licensure Examination of Repeater Examinees/Applicants)
a. Documentary Requirements:
1. NBI Clearance (valid for at least six (6) months as of the date of filing of application)
b. Documentary Requirements for Foreign Nationals:
1. Copy of the national law or international treaty, agreement or covenant to prove reciprocity for the practice of Speech-Language Pathology between the Philippines and his/her country as provided under Section 34 of PRBSLP Resolution No. 04 (s. 2022); and
2. Certificate of Good Moral Character to be issued by ANY of the following:
i. employer
ii. school/college/university
iii. any competent authority acceptable to the PRB
