DESIGNATION OF BAGUIO CITY AS ADDITIONAL TESTING CENTER FOR THE OCTOBER 2020 LICENSURE EXAMINATIONS FOR CHEMICAL ENGINEERS, CHEMISTS AND CHEMICAL TECHNICIANS


The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), pursuant to PRC Resolution No. 1250, dated July 03, 2020, announces the designation of Baguio City as additional testing center for the October 2020 Licensure Examinations for Chemical Engineers, Chemists and Chemical Technicians.

Basic requirements for new/first-time and repeater applicants are

1. Original and photocopy of Transcript of Records with scanned picture and remarks, “For Board Examination Purposes”; Certified true copy of the Transcript of Records for Chemical Technicians;
2. Original and photocopy of PSA/NSO Birth Certificate in security paper. Submit a copy of Birth Certificate from Local Civil Registrar if PSA/NSO copy is not legible;
3. Original and photocopy of PSA/NSO-issued Marriage Certificate in security paper. Submit a copy from Local Civil Registrar if PSA/NSO copy is not legible (for married female applicants only);
4. Valid NBI Clearance (valid until the last day of examination);
5. One (1) piece RECENT passport-sized colored picture in plain white background with complete name tag (Last Name, First Name, Middle Name);
6. Any valid government-issued ID as competent proof of identity or Community Tax Certificate (Cedula); and
7. Documentary stamps with total face value of Php30.00;

Additional Requirements:

Chemists:
1. One (1) Certificate of Good Moral Character from any of the following (valid at least until the last day of examination): Barangay, Church, School, or Employer; and
2. Title page and approval sheet of Thesis (should be indicated in the Transcript of Records)

Chemical Technicians:

1. One (1) Certificate of Good Moral Character from any of the following (valid at least until the day of examination): Barangay, Church, School, or Employer;
2. Certification of work experience in a Chemical Laboratory by a registered chemist (only for those who have completed less than 30 units of chemistry);
3. Has successfully completed at least thirty (30) units of undergraduate Chemistry courses from an institution duly recognized by CHED or TESDA. The courses should include both lecture and laboratory courses in the following subjects: General, Analytical and Organic Chemistry;
4. Has not been convicted of an offense involving moral turpitude by a court of competent jurisdiction
